The Merrell Moab Velocity is a mid-height black tactical boot with a solid construction, high functionality, and next level comfort to handle whatever the mission entails. With years of experience designing outdoor footwear, Merrell applies that wealth of knowledge to the tactical arena equipping the Moab Velocity with a rugged exterior comprised of a rugged Toughframe LT cage and textile paneling. The Toughframe LT cage is made of lightweight, semi-rigid material that forms an exoskeleton, providing enhanced medial and lateral stability and support (which basically means stability in every direction along your feet), which helps to avoid foot injury. Plus, the entire boot features a seam-sealed construction that locks water out while allowing moisture to escape for maximum comfort when conditions are wet on the ground. Top it off with a sticky rubber outsole with specially designed lugs that self-tune to every inch of the ground they're touching for reliable grip wherever it counts, and you have a tactical boot that's fully equipped to handle virtually any kind of terrain from mud to rocks to dirt to pavement. On top of being highly protective and durable, the Moab Velocity offers superior comfort features that your feet will thank you for after extended wear. Featuring Merrell's air cushion in the heel, this tactical boot offers incredible rebound and shock-absorption that returns energy to your legs with every footfall. Additionally, a Comfortbase contoured footbed and rubberized EVA midsole work together to cradle and support your feet, while absorbing shock and returning energy to your legs with every step. This is supplemented by a molded nylon arch shank that takes added strain off your knees and lower back.
